Hello everyone,
This is Murakami from Tromso Co., Ltd.
Recently, two members of our staff visited Nasarawa State in Nigeria for two weeks to conduct operational training on our Grind Mill equipment. This project was adopted under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan’s NGO Grant Assistance program through the Sasakawa Africa Foundation, and two Grind Mill units have been introduced to a local rice milling facility.
In Nigeria, harvested paddy rice is commonly boiled before milling. This process is known as parboiling, and the resulting product is referred to as parboiled rice. In this context, Momigalite (rice husk solid fuel) will be used as an alternative fuel to firewood during the parboiling process.
The local engineers demonstrated strong technical skills, and the equipment handling training was successfully completed. (Photos below.)
For this fiscal year, the introduction of Grind Mills has also been confirmed for Ghana, Madagascar, and again Nigeria. We look forward to continuing our efforts to contribute to sustainable agricultural development in various regions.
Thank you very much for reading to the end.
