Hello everyone,

My name is Takahashi from Tromso Co., Ltd. I will be taking over from Mr. Murakami as the writer of our website’s blog and news updates. I look forward to sharing our latest activities and developments with you.

Today, I would like to introduce a recent article published in the morning edition of the Chugoku Shimbun featuring our plan to transform the former Flower Center we acquired into a Biochar R&D Center.

Our Biochar R&D Center will consist of three dedicated facilities:

・A biochar production equipment development building
・A biochar research laboratory
・A cultivation and demonstration building

The biochar research laboratory will be equipped with advanced analytical instruments for biochar composition analysis and greenhouse gas measurement. These capabilities will enable us to scientifically evaluate biochar quality and its environmental impact.

In addition to rice husks, we consider a wide range of agricultural residues as promising feedstocks for biochar production. By integrating analytical research with cultivation trials, we aim to establish a comprehensive system that supports the effective utilization of diverse agricultural residues and promotes a local production and local consumption model.

Regarding biochar production equipment, we are also planning to introduce brick-type biochar kilns to our product lineup. These kilns are designed for regions where electricity is unavailable, enabling biochar production even in remote areas. We will continue to focus on the development and improvement of equipment and kiln technologies to meet diverse local needs.

If you have any questions about biochar or our activities, please feel free to contact us. We look forward to connecting with you.
