Update on Biochar Field Trials in Vietnam and COP28 Japan Pavilion Announcement

It has been some time since our last update. We sincerely apologize for the delay, as our internal biochar business activities have been exceptionally busy.

Last week in Vietnam, we completed the transplanting for the first cropping cycle of a new field trial. In this trial, biochar has been applied to paddy fields to evaluate yield performance compared to control plots, differences in conventional fertilizer application rates, and greenhouse gas emissions through gas analysis.

This study will continue over three cropping cycles within one year. We expect to obtain valuable data through this continuous monitoring and evaluation process. Based on these findings, we aim to contribute to the wider adoption of biochar in rice cultivation in Japan.

In addition, following last year’s participation, the official announcement for the COP28 Japan Pavilion has now been released. We would like to share this information with you and will provide further details in due course.
