There was a press release from Lotte Co., Ltd.

Everyone, it looks like the effects of Typhoon No. 10 will be felt around Innoshima by tomorrow.

Usually, the forecast puts the area in the typhoon’s storm circle, but thanks to the topography of the Seto Inland Sea,

there is no major impact, but this time it looks like there will be an impact.

People in the path of the typhoon should be cautious.

Today’s news article is an announcement of the press release issued by Lotte Co., Ltd. on August 26th at the following URL.

Lotte Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Nakajima Hideki), Fuji Oil Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Omori Tatsuji),

MC Agri Alliance Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Urano Masayoshi), and Olam Food Ingredients (Executive Director & CEO: A. Shekhar)

will jointly conduct an effectiveness evaluation test (hereinafter referred to as the Evaluation Test) in the

Republic of Ghana to commercialize regenerative agriculture(*3) by spraying biochar(*1) derived from cacao pods on cacao farms.

Our company will provide technical support for the production of biochar from cocoa pods and its use in agriculture,

which will be demonstrated at the above-mentioned cocoa farm. We are very honored to be able to participate in such an initiative.

We would like more people to know about the realities of cocoa farmers in Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire, and not only cocoa farmers,

but also coffee farmers who work hard every year to grow coffee cherries, which is drunk by many people.

Many farmers around the world have low incomes and face various social issues. Tromso’s business aims to solve these issues.
